We love Star Trek and we found a great event. The Daytona Klingon Feast. It’s listed as one of the 11 most Unconventional Conventions by SyFy Wire. And this year’s gathering will mark two decades of fun.

We’re told the Feast  is a weekend event planned, produced  and presented by fans for fans. No guest stars – just Klingons. There will be games, food, drink and fun.  All this leads to the great time and annual Feast on Saturday night. All species invited including HUMANS. They say Klingons (at least THESE Klingons) play well with others.

It again will be held at the Best Western Aku Tiki Inn on Atlantic Blvd in Daytona Beach.

What’s Up

Planned are a Friday pool party (with a Synthahol contest), and an “Anything But Trek”  costume contest. We also saw on the schedule a Tribble Relay, Klingon Jeopardy and a Klingon Escape Room Challenge. Saturday will feature workshops on the Meaning of the Klingon Oath. We look forward to the celebration of Kot’ bavl, klin-zha. But the big draw might be the arm wrestling and warrior contests.

Unlike other trekkie conventions, no guest stars or dealers are planned. It will be just Klingon enthusiasts doing what Klingons do.

Where are the Tribbles?

Of course,  Klingon Feast without a feast?  Bring your bat’leh and go boldly to the annual Klingon Feast. Don’t worry – you won’t get stared at for having a ridged forehead, because everyone has a ridged forehead. You’ll probably look out of place if you don’t appear to have the DNA of House Martok.

The cuisine of this alien species may be hard to swallow on Star Trek. However nobody has to eat anything of questionable origin — or anything that’s still moving.  Remember to bring your qutluch.

The 20th anniversary celebration will be one you will not want to miss.
